1-Day Tour, Vrata Valley to Vrata Valley
Every great alpine wall has its own best route that stands out either for its difficulty, beauty, or history and epic stories of its pioneers. The Čop Pillar Route is the greatest classic of the Julian Alps that remained the last unconquered route of the Triglav Pillar until the legendary climbers Joža Čop and Pavla Jesih finally succeeded in 1945. The route climbs up the central part of the central pillar of the Triglav North Face. Long and extremely precipitous, the route’s climbing difficulty reaches as much as six (VI) as it winds across the wild and vertical alpine world of the Triglav North Face. A grand tour reserved only for the most skillful and bold climbers.
