The king of the Julian Alps, the highest mountain of Slovenia and an iconic climb for most of the nation, Triglav rules its kingdom of jagged peaks, stunning lakes and deep valleys. The church of St. Peter’s is located at 839m and looks over Begunje and the mountainous Gorenjska region. It also happens to be in the last strip of spring, whereas above the church prevails winter yet again.
