Prisojnik South Route
1-Day Tour, start from Vršič Pass, pick-up in Krajska Gora
Venture into the heart of Triglav National Park to explore the towering Prisojnik (Prisank), a majestic peak that looms over Kranjska Gora. While several challenging and secured routes ascend the mountain, only one—winding along the southern face—offers a more accessible climb, free from extreme demands. This scenic route, bathed in sunlight and offering panoramic views, provides an authentic mountaineering experience, all set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of Prisojnik’s striking, rugged beauty.

Itinerary
After parking at the mountain pass Vršič, possibly by the Erjavčeva Hut, we'll adventure out to explore Prisojnik, one of the most popular Slovenian mountains easily accessible from the road. We'll follow a trail in the midst of high mountains and pass countless sheep grazing freely by the road and people enchanted by the surrounding beauty. The easy trail will continue over a grassy peak called Sovna Glava, then over vast talus slopes under the rocky face of Prisojnik, and then further up a more and more demanding terrain until we finally reach the top in about 3.5 hours. After enjoying stunning views from the top, we slowly head down the same trail, which should take us back down to the Vršič mountain pass in no longer than 3 hours.
