Are you up to a vertical challenge with a view of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps? This via ferrata is perfect for beginners and skilled mountaineers as it’s just panoramic enough, demanding, not too long and stimulating. Located in Mojstrana, an enchanting small village at the foothills of Triglav, it can also be combined with a visit to Slovenia’s first mountaineering museum.

Itinerary
We park by the Slovenian Alpine Museum, the only museum in the country that depicts the history and importance of mountaineering in Slovenia through pictures, evolving gear, stories and other interesting historic material. Since the start of the via ferrata is just a short walk from the museum, you'll need to decide fast whether you wish to face the truly vertical and very challenging trail, or another somewhat less demanding option. Either way, if need be, there are a few possibilities during the actual climb when you can still switch to the other trail. The ascent is estimated to last an hour and a half, while the way down is much faster and should not last longer than 30-40 minutes.
