Mala Mojstrovka via Ferrata
Day Tour, start from Vršič Pass, pick-up in Kranjska Gora or Bled
Slovenia’s favorite 2K mountain for its comfortable accessibility from the road shows a completely different face regardless of whether looking from the south or the north. If the southern rocky slopes are fairly easy to hike, the steep slopes to the north are reserved only for the brave-hearted. A secured adrenaline via ferrata ascends safely to the summit right over the steep north slope and calls for a breathtaking experience in the middle of the Julian Alps with views as far as Italy and Austria.

After we meet at the Vršič Mountain Pass, we continue together in the direction of the Vratca Pass, where we follow the Hanzova Trail to the left. Right below the big gray walls, we strap on a climbing belt and a helmet, and enter the secured Hanzova via Ferrata route leading straight up to the picturesque Mala Mojstrovka Mountain. The ascent usually takes 2.5 hours, while the descent that follows the classic route to the Vršič Mountain Pass lasts about 1.5 hours.
"What a stunning first day in the mountains! I could never have imagined it when leaving Ireland and was so pleased I’d chosen Exploring Slovenia. These guys were great fun to be with and the day was such an awesome start to my trip that I couldn’t wait for the next day to come!""
"The tour started at the beautiful Vrsic Pass and the first part of the hike was fairly easy. Later on we had a small break with sandwiches and after that we put on the helmet, climbing harness and via ferrata set. I must admit that I was quite skeptical of my climbing abilities as I'd never done anything similar, but my guide Neja was very encouraging, supportive and patient during the climb. There was some gravel, which I wasn't too comfortable with, lol but the encouraging words were helpful ☺ It was a wonderful experience that I'll never forget and out of the 4 tours I booked this one was my favorite!!"
