Triglav over Prag

IN

2-Day Tour, Vrata Valley to Krma Valley (pick-up in Kranjska Gora or Bled)

There’s certain allure of climbing Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain, over its grand Triglav North Face, a 3-km wide and 1-km high vertical face. The Prag Route, arguably the easiest route crossing the Triglav North Face, and as such appropriate for intermediate-and-up hikers (or beginners with a mountain guide), traverses the remarkable kingdom of the legendary Goldhorn, a white chamois with golden horns that had supposedly chased away everyone upon intruding into his territory. Expect high, hard and spectacular, as we climb over the Face on the first day, spend the night high up in the mountains either in the Kredarica Hut or Valentin Stanič Hut, ascend the peak of Triglav the next morning and then return along the easier route down to the Krma Valley, another beautiful valley beneath Slovenia’s highest mountain. Are you up to the challenge?

Špik

IN

1-Day Tour, start from Krnica Hut, pick-up in Kranjska Gora

Surely the wildest and most secluded part of the Triglav National Park, the Martuljek Mountain Group is mostly famous for its pointy peak Špik. Špik is also one of the few mountains in the group with marked trails. If the mountain shows its wild and vertical side to the north, the southern face is much more friendly. Although the trail is long yet not too demanding, those who tackle it are handsomely rewarded  with a  stunning panorama and that specific feeling of utter satisfaction that only the wildest mountains of the Julian Alps can give you.

Alpine Logar Valley

IN

2-Day Tour, start from Logar Valley, pick-up from Solčava / Luče

Join us on this two-day tour in the beautiful Kamnik-Savinja Alps above the green Logar Valley and get a taste of the real mountains. On the first day, we go off to explore Mt. Planjava, one of the two last big peaks in the farthest east of the Slovenian Alps. If its steep north face above the Logar Valley offers serious climbing routes, we’ll select an easier route with only a couple of exposed spots. From Planjava, we traverse forward to the enchanting green meadow Kamnik Saddle and spend the night in a comfortable mountain hut. On the second day, we explore another beautiful peak above the hut, Brana, soak up stunning views of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, and then descend back down to the Logar Valley with a stop by the plummeting Rinka Falls. The tour is suitable for mountaineering beginners with a good degree of physical fitness, while it will absolutely fascinate experienced mountaineers as well.
