10-Day Tour; start from Bohinj (pick-up in Ljubljana, Bled or Bohinj)
Immerse yourself in a 10-day adventure in some of the loveliest mountains and villages that crown beautiful Slovenia. The Julian Alps deserve their reputation: from Alpine lakes, colorful wild flowers, turquoise rivers and tall waterfalls, to sheer walls, tall peaks and beautiful wildlife. We will spend most of our time in the mountainous landscape of the Triglav National Park, one of our favorite mountain areas to hike, while being pampered with traditional cuisine. The tour is a perfect combination of the mainstream must-do hiking destinations in Slovenia and the refreshing off-the beaten-track mountainous world.
To recap the 10 days: From Lake Bohinj, we will head towards the lakes, spend two nights in the very heart of the Triglav National Park, and from there descend to the gorgeous Soča Valley. The following day we will explore the emerald Soča, a world-known river which feels almost surreal with its mesmerizing hue, crystalline pools and coves between rapids. From there, we will traverse back to Lake Bohinj right on the WWI-history-packed trails amid imposing peaks, and rest our legs, the next day exploring the flatter Krma Valley, a spectacular valley surrounded by rocky walls of high mountains. In the following days we will enter the mountainous kingdom of the rare Alpine ibex, explore more Alpine lakes, conquer a tall peak, and conclude our wonderful tour with the views of the 3-km wide and 1-km tall Triglav North Face and a farewell dinner in one of the boutique restaurants in the Alps.
